Born October 8, 1946, in Houston Texas, Charles lived a life marked by bravery, passion, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Charles was the proud father of his only son, Travis Andersen, whom he raised with boundless love and dedication. A decorated Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Charles served his country with honor and courage, a testament to his strength and selflessness. known for his warm heart and generous spirit, he was a great father, an amazing friend and a truly remarkable human being who left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A man of deep passions, Charles was an avid fan of NASCAR and Raider football, always ready to cheer on his teams with enthusiasm. His true joy, however, was found in the garage, working on cars -a hobby that showcased his skill and patience. Charles had a special love for his Chevrolet vehicles, including his truck, ZL1 Camaro, and Corvette, each a reflection of his appreciation for power and precision.
Charles will be remembered for his infectious spirit, his loyalty to family and friends, and the quiet resilience he carried throughout his life. His legacy lives on in his son, Travis, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate Charles's life will be held at Travis Andersen's home on April 26, 2025, at 1:00pm In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a cancer research foundation or a veteran's organization of your choice, in honor of Charles "s fighting spirit and service. Rest in peace Charles-a hero, a father, and a friend. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
