Roxanne Sissell

June 23, 1944 — June 26, 2025

Henderson, Nevada

Roxanne Sissell, a truly remarkable soul, peacfully departed this world on June 26, 2025 at the age of 81 in Henderson, Nevada. Born on June 23, 1944, in the small town of Parkston, South Dakota, Roxanne's life was a journey of kindness, generosity, and profound love.

Roxanne was raised in Stamford, Connecticut and a graduate of Stamford High School. After a move to Arizona, Roxanne took to the skies as a flight attendant, embracing the world with open arms and an ever-curious spirit. Her career was not just about destinations, but about the people she met along the way, each encounter leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to cross her path.

Roxanne shared a beautiful 40-year marriage with her beloved husband, Dwight Sissell, who preceded her in death. Thier marriage was a testament to the thoughtful and caring nature that defined Roxanne's life. They shared a love for travel and many hobbies. After living in many beautiful locations in the Western United States, they settled in Sedona, Arizona for 35 years prior to her move to Nevada.

Those who knew Roxanne will remember her as a beacon of warmth and compassion. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generous heart touched the lives of everyone she met. Whether it was a smile, a kind word, or a thoughtful gesture, Roxanne had a way of making people feel truly seen and cherished. Her tremendous love for animals led her to the adoption of many beloved dogs over the years.

Roxanne is survived by her sister Connie Russo (tony), her brother Vic Caserta (Terri), 7 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great nieces, all of whom will forever hold her memory close. Her family and friends, along with all who knew her, will deeply miss her presence but find solace in the legacy of love she leaves behind.

A memorial to celebrate Roxanne's life will be held at a later date, allowing those who loved her to come together in remembrance. As we reflect on Roxanne's remarkable journey, let us carry forward her spirit of love and kindness, ensuring that her light continues to shine brightly in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Sedona.
